Welcome! My name is Elizabeth Grace Matthew. I am a Philadelphia-based writer, publishing on books, culture, politics, and religion. I am also a wife, and the mother of four boys. I turned to writing full-time after spending over a decade in higher education as a professor and administrator.

In my writing, I draw on my academic background in American literature and women’s culture; my civic and Catholic formation; and my conviction that all adults (women and men alike) must employ reason, not mere emotion, to effectively pursue personal and political truths.

My work has appeared in USA Today, America Magazine, Law and Liberty, The Blaze, Deseret News, The Bulwark, The Dispatch, The Washington Examiner, Fairer Disputations, RealClearBooks&Culture, The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, The Philadelphia Inquirer, Patheos, and FemCatholic.

My broadcast media appearances include The Federalist Radio Hour, Good Morning Liberty, The Chris Spangle Show, and #TheFinal5.
